Veteran's Day Story

So we were all so excited that Bruce finally came home, and on Veteran's Day no less!!! What a more appropriate day right? So the boys all went to school on Wednesday, and Bruce and I are sitting there and we get a call from the principal from Jack and Adam's school. I'm thinking, oh goodnes, what now??? First thing he said was "This is Mr. Friend, the prinicipal at (school), everything is fine, and this is a great call. I asked the kids if they had any Veteran's Day stories they'd like to share with the school to please come to my office and tell me. And Jack came down and told me about how his Dad had came home yesterday and he was so excited and wanted to share with everyone. We do the TV announcements in all the classrooms every morning and I'd really like Jack to do the morning announcements in the morning and tell his story. And I'd love to meet your husband" So of course Bruce and I thought that was great so we went in the next morning and dropped off the boys and then snuck into the resource room, we didn't want Jack to know we were there. So for some reason the principal wasn't there, who normally does the announcements, it was one of the teachers. So he said of course Jack can do it. So here we are waiting, I've got my camera ready to videotape the whole thing. Since this teacher didn't normally do it, he didn't think to pick Jack up so he could be seen completely in the screen, which was so funny!!! But if you know Jack at all, this is so him, so it's alright!!!



We are so proud of him that he wanted to share this with the whole school and it is so neat that it's on the TV so all can see. Of course once Adam heard what Jack said about him and his brothers crying they were so happy, he was sooooooo mad at Jack. LOL He said I can't believe Jack told everyone I was crying and it isn't even true!!! :) You gotta love kids!!! But I thought you all might enjoy this little video of Jack!!!!
